Ghana's Environmental status
Ghana has one of the strongest economies in sub-saharan Africa because it has such an array of natural resources. However due to such exploration of these natural resources and the lack of caring of the environment, Ghana’s primary rainforest has been reduced by 90%. But since the last of the 15 years from 1990-2005 Ghana has lost 26 percent of his forest cover. Since that has happen about 35% of the total land mass of the country has already been turned into semi desert and that climate change has advanced desert in an already fragile regions. As for air quality, Ghana’s air quality is ranked number 151 out of 178 between countries all over the world. On average only 9.09% of Ghanas air is clean. Ghana also has many endangered animals and has a lot of laws against hunting these animals but, there are some areas that allow the hunting of these endangered animals for sport and to have as trophies.
