Ghana's Status Reports
The country of Ghana has one of Africa's most efficient Governments. Ghana has a democratic government and has many of the same freedoms as the U.S. Ghana has the freedom of speech and the freedom of press as of 2012. Even though Ghana is one of the most efficient countries in Africa, it lacks in enviornmental sustainability. Ghana has a rapidly decreacesing air quality which is because of its many factories and growing cities. Ghana also is suffering from habitat loss because they cut down trees much quicker than they can replace them. Ghana also has very poor womens and workers rights, women lack the privilages that most men have in the country but still have the basic privilages such as voting and owning land. Workers in Ghana alos suffer from very poor working conditions and face a lot of workplace hazards, this is because most workers work in mines or in large factories.
